Tally is the world leading printer manufacturer. The selling price of one set of printer is about 1000 Euros. The main customers are Benz, BMW, banks and some other high-end companies.

Yukai get in touch with Tally, Germany in 2007. At that time, most core parts of Tally are purchased from Germany, including the core part precise mirror eccentric shaft.

But Tally encountered the following problems:
  • 1. High operating costs: they should prepare stock which equals to 3 months of supply. The goods delivery is after payment.
  • 2. Long product delivery time: the product delivery time is 180 days. They should order half a year earlier.
  • 3. Bad after-sales service: German suppliers think the products are qualified before shipment, so the problems occurred after that are not their responsibility. When the products are delivered to the assembly plant in China, there will be some quality issues. And they can not solve these problems. The assembly plant can not accept the quality besides that of the Germany original products. The deformation of products during shipment can not be repaired.
  • 4. Difficult customs clearance of import: the customs clearance time requires 2 weeks at least, sometimes the period is longer. The situation is that they can not carry out assembly even there are goods supply. They sometimes have the concern of the added time of goods conveying and increased customs clearance fee.

Based on the listed reason, Tally decided to develop Chinese supplier of precise mirror eccentric shaft. They solved the existing problem by adopting localization purchasing. In 2007, Yukai took this hard task.

After establishing cooperation with Tally, Yukai invested a huge sum of money to buy equipment sets. We successfully produced this product after 2 years. And the sample is checked and praised by Tally. During the development of this part, the consumption of raw material is over 3 tons. And we finally meet the requirements of our customer. Of course, we have established long-term cooperation with Tally.
